Right now, if you can’t have the wedding you want until things open up again, it may not be wise to hire vendors just yet. If you aren’t 100% sure about the date, how can you book vendors, pay deposits and may have to change the date?
Many couples think that wedding planning is hiring vendors for their weddings. Not so. I look at planning and hiring as two very different things.
Wedding planning is the process of finding vendors, interviewing to see what they have to offer and how they can help you have your best wedding. The result is a short list of the best of the best. You know their services, pricing and have everything ready, so as soon as you are 100% confident in being able to have your wedding, you can pull the trigger and simply call and hire – everyone, in a matter of hours.
If you wait you’ll be in the same race as everyone else who waited, and the best will be booked, so you’ll have to settle for less, and that’s not what you want.
Hiring has a key element most couples miss. The order of hire can impact the cost of the wedding, into the thousands of dollars.
